Attention, Aquanauts!
The first sighting of Seawolf has been reported, and a few intrepid divers are already exploring the protocol.
This new version of Swell surfaced on the Goerli testnet on Wednesday, and has since undergone rigorous testing from the community.

🧪 Seawolf surfaces on Goerli
Seawolf, the latest version of Swell, surfaced on the Goerli testnet on Wednesday.
Since then, we've been flooded with positive feedback about the new architecture and interface.

🌊 Shanghai set to shift liquid staking landscape
With Shapella now less than two weeks away, we believe that the liquid staking market is about to experience a tidal shift.
As withdrawals are unlocked, we expect the market to become even more dynamic and competitive, helping the industry to align with Ethereum's values of decentralization, permissionlessness, and censorship resistance.
In other words, the time is ripe for Swell to make a huge splash!

🔍 Smart contract audits
Swell is committed to putting security first, and has currently engaged leading smart contract auditing firm Sigma Prime to examine our smart contracts before they are deployed on mainnet.
With these audit results in hand, we'll be set for a launch that is currently forecast for late-April 2023.
🙋 AMA schedule update
Weekly Community AMA events are now held at alternating times: one for Aquanauts in Europe and Asia, and another for those in the US.

📅 Guarded launch expected for mid-late April
Following the successful testnet launch, the guarded launch is now expected to take place in mid-late April.
This critical phase is expected to last one to two weeks, and will see the protocol tested on mainnet with certain limits around users and deposits.
Once the team has ensured that everything is humming along nicely, we will then be able to confidently invite everyone to stake on a fully open and permissionless Swell!
