Swell has taken a big step towards decentralization by introducing a key component of community-driven governance: The DAO has appointed the first set of Ecosystem Council members.
This elite group has been selected by the DAO for having deep knowledge of DeFi, and the ability to drive utility and ubiquity for swETH. Each member hails from a different background and brings their own unique perspective to the Council.
Without further ado, here are the first members of the Swell Ecosystem Council:
Anton Buenavista
A builder and crypto-native, Anton Buenavista leads Ecosystem Growth at Pendle — a DeFi protocol that enables the permissionless tokenization and trading of yield on an AMM system.

Bob Baxley
PhD and former academic, multi-startup founder and solidity developer, Bob Baxley is currently the core builder at Maverick — a revolutionary Dynamic Distribution AMM that provides greater capital efficiency and control for liquidity providers.
SmallCapScience
Full-time DeFi participant, angel investor, and thought leader, SmallCapScience has worked with top DeFi protocols including Redacted Cartel, Aura Finance, JonesDAO, and CamelotDEX, among others.
